1. Fish & Coral Spot – Gili Air
The fish and coral spot at Gili Air is one of the most breathtaking snorkeling sites. Here, you’ll encounter a wide variety of colorful and uniquely shaped fish species. One of the highlights of this spot is feeding the fish with pieces of bread—don’t be alarmed when they approach you, as these fish are known to be very friendly towards humans.
You’ll find various species, including ornamental fish often seen in aquariums, swimming freely around you. Remember to bring a piece of bread to attract them while you swim—it’s a delightful experience!
2. Underwater Statues – Gili Meno
This spot features 48 remarkable human sculptures created by the world-renowned artist Jason Decaires Taylor. The underwater statues at Gili Meno have become one of the newest and most popular snorkeling attractions. According to Republika, the number of travelers visiting this site has risen sharply, reaching 3.2 million visitors annually—both domestic and international—since its unveiling.
3. Turtle Spot – Gili Trawangan
After exploring Gili Air and Gili Meno, the next stop is the Turtle Spot located about 2 meters below the surface at Gili Trawangan. Here, you’ll encounter large sea turtles in their natural habitat. This area is popular for both snorkeling and diving, as it serves as a conservation zone where turtles thrive.
You are welcome to take as many photos as you like; however, please refrain from touching the turtles to protect their habitat and ecosystem.
After enjoying snorkeling across these three islands, we’ll take you to relax at Gili Trawangan. Activities include exploring the pristine white sandy beaches, breathing in the fresh, pollution-free air, and cycling or taking a cidomo (traditional horse-drawn carriage) around the island (personal expense). Motorized vehicles are not allowed on the island, preserving its natural charm. Afterward, we’ll return to Teluk Nara Harbor.
